He has a fork; all he needs is the food.

Evening reigned over the land of Airia, and businesses all around began to wrap it up for the day. Lights began to dim and doors were locked shut as owners exited their shops and began to head home. However, what normally was a peaceful procedure amongst the shop managers, was abruptly disturbed by an unfamiliar figure, nearly knocking some of them over as he charged down the road.


Kiet could feel his hammering heart pulse throughout his body as he ran through the Food Quarter. Food venders and restaurant owners raised eyebrows at him as he raced passed them- every now and then he'd receive a curse- delving deeper in the cluster of food shops.

Throughout the ship voyage to Airia, the oscillations of the waves made him feel nauseous, causing him to empty the majority of his stomach contents onto the sea below (to the disdain of the ocean dwelling Pokémon). Sick, exhausted, and hungry, Kiet had spent the majority of his first day lying down on a park bench, slowly recovering from his rocky journey. When he awakened from his long rest, he was greeted by a sky of orange, signifying night’s entrance. Although his sea-sickness had dissipated, his hunger still persisted. After hours of aimlessly wandering and obtaining instructions from by-passers, Kiet finally managed to make his way to the Food Quarter- only to see them closing down for the night.

Kiet moaned at the thought of not having dinner that night. Distraught, he wandered about for a few minutes, hoping that there were any restaurants open that were willing to feed one last customer. To his luck, there was a young gijinka Volbeat and Illumise couple nearby, undoubtedly on a date. As the pair strolled pass Kiet, his headphone antennae had picked up a small portion of their conversation:

"...has gone downhill since these new gijinka arrived, preferring 'modern' food to traditional Airian cuisine. Now he's willing to stay up late hoping for late night customers."

"Poor guy; I don't think anyone's willing to go to the center of the Quarter just to eat his..."

And now here he was, charging down the street like a Tauros, his focus intent on locating the restaurant. Had he generalized his focus range, he would have noticed that he was about to collide with a stranger ahead.

Zero was walking down the road, looking for a place to eat. he stopped and looked at the place next to him, it didn't have any apeal at all though.

As he continued walking he closed his eyes and sighed, "Need food to eat." he then walked further with his eyes closed. he opened them at the last second and saw something running at him.

He just notice the man who was running at him, and stepped aside, making the man stumble a bit. Zero just hoped that the man wouldn't get injured would he fall.

Stumble he did, but Kiet managed to -ungracefully- regain his balance. He halted briefly, glancing back to the figure he had almost trampled. What in the world was he doing here? Judging from his apparel, it's unlikely that he's a shop owner. So why-

Before he could ponder on the matter any further, his stomach groaned audibly, reminding him of why he was here. Without a greeting to the man, Kiet continued down the road, though jogging rather than sprinting. Although he was still intent on finding the restaurant, he extended his range of sensitivity slightly to include the man as well, vaguely interested in what he would do next.

He saw the man run off, and thought it was quite rude that he almost run him over, without apologizing, he didn't think too much about it, as e looked at the man again, and looked the direction he was running too.

He then looked at the place next to him one more time, and decided to give it a shot.

He walked towards the person and ordered something.
Then he started waiting for his order, and looked back at the direction the man was.

Why was he in such a hurry, what a weird person.

Kiet hadn't jogged for more than 5 minutes, yet he noticed that the stranger's vibrations had suddenly stopped. Curiosity taking hold of him once again, he looked back behind him to where he was just standing. No one was there.

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

He must still be sleepy. Yeah, that's it. It was just a figment of his imagination. How else could he have disappeared so quickly?

"Whatever, I'm wasting time here!" Kiet muttered, as he resumed his quest for food.
