19 ways to advertise your siteAdvertising by dropping advert postsThose are tips I've been given, and used to get the forum starting. Here is a list of stuff I have done:
Top-sitesTop-Sites is a way to advertise. Currently, we have 3 top-sites on. If you find any interesting top-site, register Gijinka World and let me know, I'll add the top-site button.
Advertising ForumsCertain forums are made specially for advertising. We currently are registered in those shown in the header, as Community Links. Those may require to fill a form, for a more complete advertisement, but may net more members. If you find any, register our forum, and let me know so that I can add their button. The advertisement we drop needs to be bumped once in a while.
SignaturesIf you post on any other forum, if they allow links in your signature, place a picture leading to our forum. Someday, someone may become curious and click on it. It's best to only have a single picture, to really place the attention on the picture and nothing else.
Popular sitesSites such as Facebook and Twitter may be good ideas for advertising, especially if you are well-known already. Same for Blogs and Tumblers.
AffiliatesIt is possible to affiliate with another RP forum. If you find any RP site that is similar to us, it may be interesting to affiliate with them. If you do, let me know, so that I can add their button.
Dropping adsThis is the main way to advertise. First, you need to find RP forums. Any, no matter their content or community. Anyone could decide to drop on their advertising section and get interested in our forum, especially if it's a dying site. Here are a few ways to get a pack of them:
-Going on an Advertising site and getting all the forums, category by category.
-Going on a Top-site, and getting all the forums one by one.
-Going on a RP Forum and getting all their forums in their advertising section
-Going on a RP Forum and getting all their affiliates.
-Replying (Link Back) to First Link made on our advertisement section.
Once you're on a forum, you will need to post on their advertisement section as a guest. No need to register. If there isn't any advertisement section or you can't post as a guest, don't bother with this forum, go to the next one. You'll normally want to avoid posting if our ad has already been posted twice. However, all the ads I posted are at least a month old, so it may not hurt to do it again if my ad isn't on their first page.
When posting, just copy-paste a pre-made Ad and verify it works with Preview Post (some Tags, such as Center and Quote, may not work or look ugly/unreadable). Once posted, move to the next site.
